Live numbers

Shopify app · Event ticketing
Tag a product and GATHR does the rest: a QR ticket in every buyer's inbox, a scanner that runs in any phone's browser, and live check-in numbers while the room fills. No booking fees for your customers. No marketplace between you and them. No new checkout.
First 100 tickets free · 14-day trial · then pay per ticket sold

Why not a ticketing marketplace?
Third-party ticketing platforms take a cut of every ticket and pass it straight to your customers as a booking fee. Your customer pays more, you never see a penny of it, and the platform keeps their email address for good measure.
GATHR sells tickets through your own Shopify store instead. You set the price, the money lands in your normal Shopify payouts, and the customer stays yours. The only charge is a small per-ticket fee to us, and whether you price that in is up to you.
For venues and promoters who would rather keep the door than rent it.

Who made this
GATHR wasn't designed in a ticketing company's boardroom. It comes from people who have stood on a door with a queue round the block, a manager asking how many are in, and a phone on 8%.
Made in the UK by The Big Click, an independent studio and official Shopify Partner.
How it works
Add the tag event-ticket to any product and fill in the Event Date and Event Venue fields GATHR adds to the product page. Variants become ticket types. Inventory is your capacity.
Nothing changes at checkout. Every item bought becomes a ticket with its own QR code, emailed instantly with a link to a permanent ticket page. Refund in Shopify and the ticket is cancelled.
Door staff open a link on any phone and point the camera at the code. One word fills the screen, IN, STOP or WAIT, with the name and ticket number underneath.
At the door

Every ticket works once. A second scan shows STOP with the time of the first. If a scanner link gets out, switch it off from the event page in one click.
Everything after the sale
Tickets sold, checked in, awaiting and drop-off for every event, on a dashboard that updates as people arrive.
A phone-friendly page with live numbers, for managers who want to watch the room fill without holding a scanner.
Add your team once. They get each event's scanner link by email before doors. No accounts and nothing to install.
Tickets sit in the same basket as merch, drinks packages and anything else you sell. One checkout, one order, one payout.
Every buyer is a customer in your Shopify store, ready for your next email, your discount codes and your gift cards. No platform in between.
Variants are ticket types, inventory is capacity, and the price is whatever you say. All-day events and multi-date runs work too.
Sender name, subject line, colours, intro and footer, with a live preview and a test send before the first sale.
Refund an order in Shopify and the matching tickets are cancelled on the spot. They show STOP at the door.
Orders, customers and payments never leave your store. GATHR adds the tickets and the door, nothing else.

Questions
A marketplace sells your tickets on its site, adds a booking fee your customers pay, holds the money until it pays you out, and keeps the customer relationship. GATHR sells tickets through your own Shopify store: no booking fee, money in your normal payouts, and every buyer is your customer. You pay GATHR a small fee per ticket instead.
Yes, if you want to. Add it to the ticket price and it's yours rather than a platform's. Many venues simply keep the all-in price their customers already pay and pocket the difference.
Yes. GATHR is listed on the Shopify App Store and made by an official Shopify Partner. Install it from the listing like any other app, and it bills through your Shopify account.
No. They get an email with their QR code and a link to a permanent ticket page that opens in any browser. They can show the email, the page, or a screenshot.
No. Tickets are ordinary products, sold through your existing checkout with the payment methods you already offer. GATHR watches for orders and creates the tickets afterwards.
Any phone with a camera and a browser. Staff open a link, allow the camera, and scan. There is nothing to install and no login, so share links with your team only, and switch a scanner off from the event page if a link gets out.
Add them by name and email, either for every event or for one event only. They receive the scanner link by email 60 minutes before doors by default, and you can change that in Settings. You can also copy the link and send it yourself.
Refund the order in Shopify as usual. The matching tickets are cancelled and show STOP at the door. The customer's ticket page shows Cancelled.
The first scan admits, and every later scan shows STOP with the time of the first. Each ticket works exactly once.
Yes. Every tagged product is its own event with its own scanner link, staff emails and numbers. For a show on several dates, make one product per date.
Your orders, customers and payments stay in Shopify. GATHR stores the tickets it creates and the check-in record for each event. See the privacy policy for the detail.
Install from the Shopify App Store, tag a product, and sell your first ticket in minutes. Nothing to build, nothing to buy, and no booking fees for the people who turn up.
